Background info

World War II is of an unprecedented large-scale war in the history of man. More than 60 countries and regions and two billion people were involved in the war.

In 1973, Japan launched an aggressive war on China again after it occupied Northeast China, while Germany, in collaboration with Italy, unleashed all-out aggressive wars in Europe. On September 1, German troops invaded Poland. Two days later, Britain and France declared war against Germany. In April-June 1941, Germany invaded and occupied Denmark and other five European countries, and the British army withdrew out of the Continent. Only June 22, 1941, German troops launched attacks against the former Soviet Union, which then came into allies with Britain and the United States in the war against Germany. On December 7, Japan made a sneak raid on the Pearl Harbor and the Pacific War broke out. the arduous anti-Japanese war of the Chinese people provided Britain and the United States with a chance for a breathing spell in the Pacific Battlefield and encouraged the people in Southeast Asia to fight against Japan. The victory of the former Soviet army in Stalingrad in February 1943 brought about the fundamental turn in the situation of the European battlefield. Under the attack of British and US troops, Italy surrendered in September 1943. In June 1944, British and US troops , landed in Normandy of France and opened up the second battlefield in Europe. In early 1945, the former Soviet Red Army and British and US troops stormed into the territory of Germany in separate directions. On May 2,1945, the former Soviet Red Army captured Berlin. On May 8, Germany surrendered unconditionally. Afterwards, the United States concentrated its forces to the war against Japan, the former Soviet Union declared war against Japan on August 8, the Chinese people turned to nationwide counteroffensive against Japanese invaders, and Japan declared surrender on August 15 and signed the letter of surrender on September 2, The Chinese people won an over all victory in their 8-year war of resistance against Japan and so did the people throughout the world in the anti-fascist war.
